TAP (Mondays 4:00-4:30pm commencing 22nd Feb)

I am delighted to announce our timetable is expanding to include Tap from February 22nd! This class encourages musicality, timing and style. Tap has become a very popular form of dance, encouraging co ordination and giving the chance to be creative and expressive in a completely different way to other forms of dance. We have a few spaces remaining so there will be a sign up sheet on the door at classes on Tuesday and Saturday if you wish for you child to join us for a 3 week trial = £12.

**Tap shoes won’t be necessary for the trial, just some old hardware outdoor shoes**

SHOWCASE Saturday 16th July 2016 2:00pm Start

The showcase promises to be a wonderful end to the academic year. Rehearsals for our showcase will commence after Easter during normal classes. There will be a £12.50 show fee to help pay for costumes/props which will be due along with the Summer term fee’s.

We will be entering a few students in for the Ore dance festival in May. Miss Jade will approach you if she feels your child is ready to dance in a festival for either a solo item or to be part of a group. If a pupil is selected for a festival, we will advise parents of the additional rehearsal time required and the associated costs. It is worth knowing that festivals require a considerable amount of time and expense and it is advised that both students and parents think carefully about the commitment involved.

All JD Dancers are expected to be in correct uniform for all of their dance classes. Please encourage your child to have their hair neatly groomed for their classes as this allows the teacher and dancer, to see the line that is being created by the shoulders, neck, arms, and back, and make corrections if necessary. A bun for ballet is vital!

Pleas copy link  for uniform: https://www.justdancestudios.co.uk/justdance-info/#uniform

Sadie Wahnon is in the process of sorting out hoodies and onsies, samples and signs up sheets will be pinned up at classes if you wish to order any.

We are also organising our first JD trip to see Sleeping Beauty. My First Ballet: Sleeping Beauty is an enchanting version of the fairy tale ballet created especially for children aged three upwards at the White Rock Theatre, Hastings in May. Please drop me a message if you are interested in joining us!
